About me
Hello, my name is Thomas Schneider. If you’re reading this, it means my life has come to an end. But don’t be sad – I want you to remember me with a smile, just as I always tried to look at the world with a smile.
I was someone who appreciated the simplicity of life. I loved pottering about in the garage, spending cosy evenings barbecuing with friends and going on long bike rides. My greatest passion was music – the guitar accompanied me for almost my entire life, and the evenings I spent playing for family and friends are among my fondest memories.
I loved my family more than anything. My wife, my children and my grandchildren were my greatest treasure. Trips to the lake together, board games and our endless conversations – it was precisely these moments that made me happiest.
A message to family and friends
If you think of me now, please – don’t grieve for too long. Life is beautiful and fragile, and I hope you enjoy it to the full. Be kind to one another, support each other and cherish the moments you share – for they are the true riches.
Remember that I am always with you – in the sound of a guitar, in the sun’s rays and in the scent of freshly mown grass.
And if you ever want to think of me, have a cup of hot coffee in my honour – preferably strong and black, just as I always drank it. And remember: wherever I am now, I’m sure I’m smiling – and thinking of you.
Forever with you, Thomas
